You are God’s Masterpiece
Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Have you ever driven through a field of wheat? Rows and rows of wheat stalks showing off their beauty - each standing like a valiant soldier looking like the other.
They are beautiful, however, until they are harvested they haven’t reached their unique potential.
Many of us simply look at the kernels as the useful part of the wheat.
Did you know the ancient egyptians used the wheat stalks as a binder for clay bricks? We still use wheat stalks to this day for certain types of home insulation.
Wheat straw has many other uses as well.
Wheat kernels are ground into flour and of course the uses are unique and endless!!
Then, there is the chaff which is the casing around the kernels and is generally tossed out. That part is unusable by humans - we can’t digest it.
However, it can serve a purpose by feeding it to livestock or can be used as material to be plowed into the soil, it can also be burned.
God says in the last days he will separate the wheat from the chaff. Meaning, he will separate the saved from the unsaved.
When God comes into our heart he begins a separation process. Helping us to get rid of the spiritual chaff in our life and remaking our heart, soul and mind into who he created us to be. Just like wheat which has endless and unique possibilities -we also may never know who we truly are unless we let God harvest us and transform us!!
The possibilities are endless with Christ IN us.
