Thank you Jesus for Setting me FREE!

I grew up in the generation that somehow escaped extinction. We rode without seat-belts, we piled 15 people into a VW bug, we stacked another 15 people into the back of pickup trucks and even a dog or two.

We built up tough skin by sliding down metal slides in 95 degree weather!!!

We also burned off our eye-brows, eye lashes and sometimes our hair from fireworks!!

You can blame our generation for all the warning labels that say - Don't drink the lighter fluid!

Then again - todays generation eats laundry pods!!

Awww glorious freedom!

It allows us the opportunity to explore the wonders of the world as well as doing dumb things we might regret!

Our nation is built on the precept of Freedom from the Holy Bible. Our nation is different than any other nation in the world and that's what has made us blessed and a light to the world!

As we celebrate our nations independence this weekend, perhaps also celebrate your freedom and independence that God has blessed you with.

What has God set you free From? Drugs and alcohol? Gossip? Smoking? Toxic Relationships? Low Self-Esteem? Anxiety and Depression?

Praise God we are set free from the bondage of sin! WHATEVER you are struggling with - you CAN trust God to set you free.

Galatians 3:22 But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.

John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
